Introduction

Do you like playing Minecraft and want to build alongside other Scouts in the group? Well then look no further than the 1st Crownhill Scouts Minecraft server!

Bedrock Minecraft Version

The 1st Crownhill Minecraft server is using the Bedrock Edition on the software. There are number of reasons why we’ve decided to use this version:

User-control: The Bedrock Edition allows us to control who can connect to the Minecraft server which helps safeguard our young people.
Cross-platform availability: The Bedrock Edition allows friends to connect using a range of different devices and platforms.

The supported platforms are currently listed below:

  • Windows 10 PCs
  • iOS
  • Android
  • Nintendo Switch
  • Fire/Fire Phone devices

Not currently supported (LAN Support Only)

  • Xbox
  • Playstation

How to Play

Email your Minecraft username

To join the 1st Crownhill Scout server, you’ll need a Minecraft username (Xbox Live Gamertag). To find your existing gamertag or create a new one, log in via the Microsoft Xbox site.

Further information about gamer tags can be found on the Microsoft help pages.

  1. Once created, send the Gamertag to gamertag@1stcrownhillscouts-minecraft.co.uk with your name. Once approved, your account will be added to the 1st Crownhill server whitelist and confirmed via email.
Join our Minecraft Server
  • In Minecraft click play (screenshot)
  • From the tabbed page, click Servers
  • Scroll to the bottom of the server list and under Additional Servers, click Add Server
  • Enter the following information in the fields and click Save
Server Name: scoutville
Server Address: 1stcrownhillscouts-minecraft.co.uk
Port: 19132
  • Click on the newly created server scoutville and click Join Server. Note, it may take a few moments to load.
 

Troubleshooting

You receive the message You are not invited to play on this server.

You receive the message Unable to connect to world.
